Care Solace and the Town of Sharon, MA Partner to Close the Mental Health Access Gap for Residents

SHARON, MAFinding the right mental health provider is one of the most common reasons people never get care at all. To address that barrier head-on, Care Solace has partnered with the Town of Sharon, Massachusetts to give every resident free, confidential, and around-the-clock support in navigating the behavioral health system.

Sharon is a Norfolk County community of approximately 18,700 residents located about 22 miles south of Boston. The town is home to a diverse, educated population with high rates of health insurance coverage, yet access to timely mental health care remains a recognized challenge. In Massachusetts, mental health providers see a fraction of the patients that primary care physicians do each year, creating a significant bottleneck even for insured residents who are actively trying to get help. Sharon’s Health Department already maintains a dedicated mental health resources hub, and this partnership extends that foundation with a direct, human-supported navigation service.

What The Service Provides

Sharon residents can call Care Solace at (888) 515-7881 any time of day or night, or visit www.caresolace.com/townofsharon to anonymously search matched providers. A dedicated Care Companion then manages every step: identifying available, licensed providers matched to the resident’s needs, insurance, and preferred language; booking the first appointment through a supported call; and checking back in to ensure the match was a good fit. If it was not, Care Solace finds another option. The service supports all insurance types and is offered in more than 200 languages.

Serving Sharon's Community

Sharon’s population spans a wide range of life stages, including families with school-age children, working adults, seniors, and veterans. Care Solace is built to serve all of them, offering support for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance use disorders, and many other behavioral health needs. The service is equally accessible to residents on private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and sliding-scale plans, ensuring that no one is screened out by their coverage situation.

The partnership also covers Sharon town employees and first responders, giving the people who keep this community running the same supported access to care they help provide for others.
