Mental Health: Navigating Generational & Cultural Differences in Our Families

Within our families, the understanding of mental health and how we talk about it can vary tremendously based on our age and experiences. This workshop will be focused on building empathy in our families by better understanding our generational and cultural differences around mental health. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about topics such as changing societal norms, technology's impact on mental health, historical contexts, and the unique stressors experienced by different generations and cultures. Join us for valuable insights and strategies that will help you to help you navigate the different perspectives and experiences with mental health in your family.

Coping with Grief & Loss During the Holidays: Developing Resilience

The holiday season, often synonymous with joy and celebration, can be an especially difficult time for those who are coping with grief and loss. During this session, we will explore the complexities of grief and loss, especially in the context of festive or other challenging times. Participants learn about grief and practical strategies for coping. We will also touch on the importance of acknowledging and expressing grief while simultaneously finding moments of respite and hope. Whether you're personally experiencing grief or supporting someone, this session will offer a safe and compassionate space for learning, sharing and healing
